Sarah - Seize The Yay - What It Means To Be A Woman
In light of International Women’s Day on Sunday the 8th of March, I’ve asked some of the amazing women in my life to share what it’s like to be woman.
I’ll be highlighting a variety of women from different backgrounds, careers and beliefs to bring you a selection of just how awesome being a woman is.
Sarah @spoonful_of_sarah owner of @matcha_maiden and @matcha_mylkbar
and her very podcast @seize_the_yay is gracing the feed today. I've only recently joined the Seize The Yay bandwagon and boy I'm so glad I've hopped on. I've listened to a few of her episodes and now one could say I'm hooked. I'm super stoked to have been able to hear her speak at the @themindfulcollective event recently. She's super down to earth and to be honest, I actually can't believe she answered these questions for little ol' me. Thanks girl!
What makes you feel empowered about being a woman?
I think it is so empowering to be able to channel both the gentle, nurturing, softer energy of the feminine as well as the fierce, badass, powerful energy of the masculine depending on what situation we're in. We have such a breadth of emotions and depth of reflection that can admittedly be a bit of a burden at times when we let things go into overdrive but that also makes us unique and powerful both individually and together.
What has been your most proudest moment in your life? Whether that be in your career or personal life.
Why is it so important for women to support each other?
We are just so much more powerful when we rally together, you only have to have been in a room at a networking event to know the energy is unrivalled. We face enough challenges in our careers, bodies, minds without adding each other to the list, so when we can lean on each other and move forward together everyone benefits so much more.
What's your go-to self care to feel like a queen?
