Leanne Webber - CEO The Founders Team - What It Means To Be A Woman

In light of International Women’s Day on the 8th of March, I’ve asked a selection of incredible women all with different backgrounds, careers, stories and beliefs on just how awesome it is to be a woman.

Today we have the super hard working Leanne Webber @leanne_webber CEO and Founder of The Founders Team.

As stated above...Leanne is legit one of the most hard working and motivated Girl Bosses I know. She founded (pun intended) The Founders Team which I was apart of last year and if you ask any of the members, I'm sure they'll say that being apart of the team has seriously elevated their businesses and their relationships with other small business owners. It's truly one of the best groups I've ever been apart of. If you haven't heard of it...head over to their page and check em out - The Founders Team.

Being that it is also Endometriosis Awareness Month...Leanne lives with this horrible disease. I love how open she is about her symptoms and surgeries and her willingness to share and educate others on her socials. So without further ado...I bring you Leanne.

What makes you feel empowered about being a woman?

This is kinda specific but I feel super empowered knowing how much I've grown my business whilst also suffering from endometriosis. I have to take a total of 3 months off every year due to my symptoms but over the past 2 years my biz has grown 470% in revenue & 285% in member numbers. Periods suck (even without endometriosis) but I think it's pretty cool that we get shit done anyway!

What has been your most proudest moment in your life? Whether that be in your career or personal life.

Hosting our first Gala Dinner in October 2020. Bringing so many of our incredible members together and celebrating all of their success after a rough six months of COVID challenges & more. Our members make me proud everyday but it was such an incredible moment for me - seeing them all dressed up, cheering for each other when awards were announced and having the best time together.

Why is it so important for women to support each other?

SO many reasons - it boosts our confidence, helps us push our comfort zones, helps us believe in ourselves, helps our mental health. There's nothing better than getting hype messages from ya gals, is there!?

What's your go-to self care to feel like a queen?

Okay this is going to sound strange but firstly I like to clean the house. Having a clean and tidy space is really important for me to chill out. Then I like to shower, shave my legs, wash my hair and sit on our balcony in the fresh air with a face mask on, glass of wine in one hand and book in the other, while I listen to my 'Chill' playlist on Spotify #cheers
