Anita - Wordfetti - What It Means To Be A Woman
In light of International Women’s Day on Sunday the 8th of March, I’ve asked some of the amazing women in my life to share what it’s like to be woman.
I’ll be highlighting a variety of women from different backgrounds, careers and beliefs to bring you a selection of just how awesome being a woman is.
Anita is the founder of the everso cool copywriting company @wordfetti, brains and speaker behind the informative podcast @brandfetti and lover of food and travel over at @anitaco
Anita was once a lawyer but then threw in the towel to become a copywriter...and a damn good one at that. She's one powerhouse woman who's the life of the party and super sweet. Till this day, I still have a lil note Anita sent me in the mail...the card is shaped like a doughnut and has some beautiful words in it which helped me at the start of my lettering venture.
What makes you feel empowered about being a woman?
I’d say three things: being able to say no, being able to take control of my everyday and do things to satisfy what I’d love to happen in my life and being able to take reframe challenges and roadblocks and absorb like a sponge and learn no matter what I do and where I am.
What has been your most proudest moment in your life? Whether that be in your career or personal life.
Leaving my corporate job. And buying a house, and a car within a month of doing so. Some say I’m crazeh, but it only made me work THAT much harder too. I also like a good challenge 🤣
Why is it so important for women to support each other?
I think it’s important we ALL support each other. No matter where in the journey we are, no matter the gender. At the end of the day there is nothing that sets each of us apart. Instead of asking: Oh, what did SHE do to get there so quickly? Reframe and ask, Gosh that’s awesome she achieved that! I’d love to talk to her and learn from her. We speak so much about women lifting each other up when sometimes women are actually the worst culprit to putting other women down and tearing each other apart. There is actually science to show this too!
What's your go-to self care to feel like a queen?
I’m trying to get better at this! But I go to Floats, Massages, and booking staycations! Heckin’ love me a good staycation
